12/10/10 Hershey Holiday

 In addition to directing tours for Starr, Alice is an artist. She is a freelance illustrator and painter and has designed several book jackets. She served as director Fashion and Commercial Art at the Art Institute of Philadelphia for 5 years and also taught painting and drawing in the Trenton public school system. Alice loves to travel and has been all over the world, from Russia to China and beyond.

 Alan loves his work as a music instructor at Penn State/Brandywine. He teaches classical music and jazz history. He also works as a freelance musician and has performed at 4 Presidential inaugurations! Alan enjoys traveling to destinations off-the-beaten-path and loves trivia.

 Andy is a professor at Temple University and teaches Civil War history. Prior, Andy served as a professor at Rider University and Holy Family University. He is a published author and extremely active in Civil War history, research and preservation.

 When not on tour, April works with therapy dogs. She visits senior homes and elementary schools that have the "Kids Read to Dogs" program. Her favorite "therapy" companion is her own Chihuahua, Toby.

 Bette loves to spend time volunteering with the USO at McGuire Air Force Base at Fort Dix. She is retired from the East Windsor Regional School District and also loves to read, exercise, and ski. Married for 44 years, she enjoys spending time with her family.

 With an extensive working backround in Public Relations and Special Events, Dolores has used these skills as a Tour Director and to the benefit of her community serving as President of her local civic organization as well as her church's social group. Additionally, each year she coordinates the area's annual Memorial Day Parade. An avid baseball fan and news "junkie", Dolores enjoys playing travel trivia and word games with passengers on her Starr trips.

 Eileen lives in central New Jersey, though she still considers herself a “country girl at heart!” She enjoys spending time with her family and friends.  Evy is originally from Philadelphia. She was a teacher in Baltimore and New York, and raised her family in Montreal. Then it was on to Indianapolis before she and her husband moved back to the East Coast.  Next time you travel with her, ask Evy about her cool job as a "standardized patient."

Jane works as a guide at the Hagley Museum and Library in Delaware. Jane has a passion for history and in her free time belongs to a History Club that re-enacts the Civil War – she dresses as a lady of the 1860’s, right down to bloomers and corset!  Jo Ann loves volunteering in her community in various capacities.  She is President of the Board of Directors of the Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey, a community orchestra she helped found in 1996. She has a Master's Degree in Spanish from NYU and lived in Spain for 7 years while studying and working. She is fluent in Spanish and also speaks French.  Jo Ann enjoys international travel, Broadway, music, snorkeling, bird watching and taking care of her parakeet.

Rosemarie loves spending her free time with her husband Jack, a retired Starr driver, her 5 children and 12 grandchildren! She enjoys walking on the beach, fireworks and wildflowers. Before becoming a Tour Director, Rosemarie was a Legal Secretary.
