-As of JANUARY 31, 2008, U.S. citizens traveling to Canada (land and sea crossing only) will need to present a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license, plus proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate with a raised seal.

As early as June 1, 2009, to be determined with at least 60 days notice, U.S. citizens entering the United States from Canada (land and sea crossing only) must have a valid U.S. Passport Book or Passport Card.

If you have had a prior arrest, you may not be allowed entry into Canada. Should you have any concerns about this, please call the Canadian Consulate at 212-596-1600.

-Carnival strongly recommends that all guests travel with a valid passport during their cruise. This will enable guests to fly from the U.S to meet their ship at the first port, should they miss their scheduled embarkation; and allow guests that must debark the ship before their cruise ends to fly back to the U.S without significant delays and complications. Additionally, it will greatly help to expedite their debarkation process. In the meantime, proper proof of citizenship (valid driver's license along with original copy of birth certificate with raised seal) is required.
