Day 1:
Welcome to California's "City by the Bay." Meet your Tour Manager 6:00 p.m. who will be able to recommend places to dine this evening.

Day 2:
Following breakfast, embark on a guided tour of San Francisco where we see so many of the landmarks that make the city known throughout the world. Begin with a ride on a cable car and continue to Union Square, Twin Peaks, Golden Gate Park, Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown and the world's most crooked street. This afternoon we take a cruise on the bay with incredible views of the skyline, Fort Mason, Marina District, the Presidio, Alcatraz, and the Golden Gate Bridge. Tonight we dine on Fisherman's Wharf as we watch the sun set.

Day 3:
Today we travel to beautiful Napa Valley. We ride aboard the meticulously restored vintage rail cars of the Napa Valley Wine Train. While on board, your waiter will serve a freshly prepared gourmet lunch while the views of the vineyards and wineries pass by. We continue our day into California's wine country and visit the Sonoma area surrounded by rolling valleys and hundreds of vineyards. We visit the B.R. Cohn Winery where you can learn, taste and take back home your favorite wines.

Day 4:
Widely regarded as one of the most spectacular of all train routes, Amtrak's Coast Starlight links the greatest cities on the west coast. Boarding in Oakland, we travel south along the Diablo Mountain Range, which gives way to fertile valleys. Long stretches of the Pacific Ocean shoreline and the "American Riviera" town of Santa Barbara provide a stunning backdrop for the journey to Los Angeles.

Day 5:
Begin the day in Malibu with breakfast on the coast. Framed by the Pacific Ocean and the Santa Monica Mountains, Malibu is home to countless movie stars and has been called "27 miles of scenic beauty." A local guide then takes us on a journey through some of the famous sights of Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, and Hollywood.

Day 6:
Today has been left open for you to explore Los Angeles at your leisure. A popular on own activity might include Universal Studios, the world's largest motion picture and television studio, which is convenient to our hotel. You may wish to use the Metro to get downtown to visit the NBC, CBS or Disney Studios. You may also wish to join us on an optional excursion to the Reagan Presidential Library with lunch. Located in Simi Valley, the Museum features Air Force One and a full-scale replica of Reagan's Oval Office. This evening join your traveling companions for dinner hosted by your Tour Manager.

Day 7:
Today bid farewell to your newfound friends and take home memories of the sights and sounds of California's coast. You will be transferred to the Los Angeles Airport for your flight home.
