With a wide range of weather conditions in Alaska, the right clothing can make a big difference in the enjoyment of your trip. First and foremost, dress for comfort and warmth. While packing for your adventure, we recommend layers including gloves and sturdy footwear. Summer temperatures vary from 50-70 degrees Fahrenheit, but extremes are not uncommon. Warmer clothes are recommended for tours traveling to Denali National Park during May and September as temperatures can dip into the 30's.

To take full advantage of the great visual experience that awaits you, sunglasses, a camera and binoculars are suggested. Although film is usually available, it is a good idea to carry a few extra rolls with you in addition to batteries. Incidental prices in remote areas around Alaska are substantially higher than in the more established cities.

Please make sure to keep all medications and identification with you in your carry-on bag.

-Starr has a select quantity of wheelchair accessible motorcoaches available; therefore, we suggest you contact a Travel Advisor to discuss any needs you may have before reserving your trip.
