Trolley Tour of Cape May
Historic District Tour - In 45 minutes, see Cape May's National Landmark District: the gingerbread houses, the oldest residential street in town, and the elegant grande dames of the Victorian commercial center.
Emlen Physick Estate
One constant in Cape May is the Emlen Physick Estate. No matter what time of year it is, you can take a tour of this 18 room mansion designed by renowned architect Frank Furness. Built in 1879, it's considered by some to be one of the finest examples of Victorian "Stick Style" architecture in America.
In the 1970s, the Physick Estate and the nine outbuildings on the four-acre Cape May estate were saved and restored by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts.
Visit the Estate during Cape May's holiday season for a living history experience and see how members of the Physick Family celebrated and decorated for Christmas in the 1890s.
Washington Street Mall
Closed to traffic between Ocean and Perry Streets to allow for a quaint and charming shopping experience, this three block pedestrian mall offers an array of specialty stores such as Fralinger's Taffy, The Original Fudge Kitchen, Import Bazaar, La Patisserie, and the Christmas Shoppe, as well as many other restaurants and stores.
