Shrimping Trip Marine Adventure Cruise
Enjoy a 70 Minute Living Marine Adventure Cruise aboard the "Sailfish." See how, why & what is caught on a real shrimp trip!

Upon leaving the harbor, the crew will drop the trawl shrimping net and explain all of the parts and how they operate. Once the net is set, your guide will give you the detailed seafood and maritime history. After 20 minutes, the net is pulled up and dropped on the back deck. Your guide will sort through the catch and explain each species caught and what their purpose is in the Gulf of Mexico. Then some will be placed in an aquarium aboard the boat so that you may get a closer look at them and see them actually swimming as they do in their environment. As for the remaining catch...if your are brave enough, you can feed the pelicans and seagulls who follow the boat each and every day looking for their next meal!

The Sailfish is a double deck boat allowing a view from the top in the open air. Those who prefer may also view the action from the enclosed bottom deck, with windows all around, away from the sun.

NOTE: The boat will not sail if winds are in excess of 20 mph or during rain or inclement weather.
