From the tables of the vanished Cafe Edison to the halls of the old Mark Hellinger Theatre, your Green Team Guide will take you on a virtual journey of the northern blocks of the theatre district from 47th Street to 53rd Street. We’ll journey back to the 1920s when Broadway theaters began rising out of the ashes, most built by one architect with an awkward last name, Herbert J. Krapp. With stories emanating from a Tony Award-winning watering hole to tales of a gigantic monkey named King Kong, guests will be taken on a colorful journey through Broadway’s past. Every night when the thousands of audience members leave the 41 Broadway theaters, a nightly ritual takes place unseen by most: the setting of the ghostlight. Join our Green Team Guides as we virtually explore Broadway’s haunted past. Our Green Team Guide will share stories of spirits that still lurk in the shadows backstage. We’ve unearthed some truly spooky sightings: acrobats, costume designers, playwrights, actors, and even a priest! This virtual tour will explore all of the Broadway theaters at the southern end of the theatre district from 41st Street to 44th Street. Journey back in time with our Green Team Guides to Broadway’s early years full of roof garden theaters, tap shoes, and theatrical con artists. Learn the true difference between a Broadway theater and an Off-Broadway theater and revel in the secrets hidden in plain sight in some of Broadway’s most famous theaters. Tour-goers will hear how a show is created from the first rehearsal to opening night and all of the craziness in between. And, of course, we’ll explore the spirits that may still be lurking in the shadows backstage with a few unbelievable ghost stories. Seize the Show is a 60 minute-long immersive live performance gaming experience, where storytelling meets the thrill of gameplay. Each performance features original stories performed virtually, in real time, and all you need is your phone and computer to join in. You, the audience, will have the power to choose the outcome of the story through voting for choices, solving puzzles, or winning mini games that move the narrative forward. Each show’s journey and ending won’t be like the last and it’s up to YOU to decide where the narrative will go.
