Student Activity Trips Made Simple!
About the Program
Starr’s Student Activity Trips are pre-planned excursions. We’ve got everything set so all you need to do is promote the trip! We know that sometimes it can be difficult to get enough students interested in a particular trip. That’s where we come in. We handle all the coordination to help you join up with students from other nearby schools. You’ll travel on one of our deluxe motorcoaches with experienced drivers who will get you right where you need to go safely.
How Does It Work?
1) Signup to stay informed and register as a Student Activity Planner with Starr.
There is no cost for signing up and once you have done so, we’ll keep you up to date on new information and reach out to find out more about your specific needs.
2) When there is a trip that you are interested in, you contact us to provide all the tools and materials you need to promote it.
We’ll handle all the messy work like coordination with the destination, as well as giving you the option to collect money during booking for new signups.
3) We pick you up for a great day, you ride in comfort and style, and we drop you back at school when you’re all done!
Frequently Asked Questions
What size group do I need to have for a trip?
While we always believe the more the merrier, the great thing about Starr’s Student Activity Program is that you don’t need a large number of students to run a trip. We coordinate with other schools so you get the benefits of easy and high-quality transportation, without the need to have a certain number of students to make the trip a “go”. Additionally, you get the added benefit of meeting students from other area schools!
Do I receive any rewards for being a group leader?
Yes! We know you play a crucial (and often unsung) role in both providing fun and meaningful trips, and all the work you do isn’t easy. That’s why we have a great rewards program where you can earn free trips. When you complete our quick signup form, we’ll get back to you to learn a bit more about how we can help you and provide additional information on what kinds of rewards you are able to earn.
What kinds of tools does Starr provide to help me manage my trips?
Once you decide on a trip you would like to offer, we’ll provide you with a webpage that you can promote to your students. This will include trip details & itinerary, as well as enable your students to book directly. We can even handle collecting payment at the time of booking so you don’t have to worry about that.
If I want to do a trip that is not on the schedule, can I do that?
YES! While we have put together a handful of trips that you can choose from, we would love to hear about the ideas you have. It’s easy for us to create a new trip, and chances are if you interested in a particular destination, other people are too. Just drop a quick email to Cassandra Coate at [email protected], and we’ll work with you to get your idea off the ground.
How does it work traveling with students from other schools?
One of the best parts of being involved with the Starr Student Activity Program is that you get to meet new friends from other area schools. The number of schools in Philadelphia is truly unique and we love that we can help grow your social circle beyond just your campus. For each trip, we arrange and coordinate with your fellow activity leaders at nearby schools and when the day comes, we pick you all up and get on the road!
